De Zapatos Básicos a una Creación de Diseñador: Un Upcycling Chulísimo
Soy una amante de los zapatos y del upcycling, así que cuando vi un par de zapatos por solo RD$900.00 pesos en Plaza Lama, supe que tenían potencial para convertirse en algo espectacular. No necesitaba gastar una fortuna en calzado de diseñador (que de vez en cuando tambien lo hago pero también me encanta hacer DIYS) cuando podía transformar estos en una pieza única con un toque de creatividad.
La Inspiración:
Siempre he admirado los diseños florales y etéreos en los zapatos de lujo, aquellos que parecen sacados de un cuento de hadas con detalles como mariposas, flores y aplicaciones en 3D. Y constamente en Pinterest e Instagram me salían estos zapatos (ver foto) Así que me propuse recrear ese estilo con materiales accesibles y un poco de ingenio.

- Unos zapatos básicos (cualquier modelo que sirva como lienzo en blanco)
- Flores y mariposas artificiales
- Clips para aretes de presentación (sí, esos que se usan para las personas que no tienen perforadas las orejas)
- Pegamento fuerte o silicón caliente

El Proceso de Transformación
- Preparar los zapatos: Antes de empezar, limpié bien la superficie para asegurarme de que el pegamento se adhiriera correctamente.
- Crear los apliques: Utilicé los clips de presión para convertir las mariposas y flores en broches desmontables. Esto me permitiría cambiar los adornos dependiendo del look que quisiera llevar.
- Posicionamiento: Probé distintas combinaciones de flores y mariposas sobre los zapatos hasta encontrar el diseño perfecto.
El Resultado: Unos Zapatos Únicos y Personalizados
Lo mejor de este proceso es que no solo creé algo hermoso y especial, sino que también creé versiones únicas de zapatos de diseñador sin gastar una fortuna. Ahora no solo tengo un par de zapatos si no que tengo 5 en uno y además parecen sacados de una pasarela, pero hechos con mis propias manos.

- Creating the embellishments: I used earring display clips to turn the butterflies and flowers into removable brooches, allowing me to switch up the decorations depending on my outfit.
- Arranging the design: I played around with different combinations of flowers and butterflies until I found the perfect layout.
The Result: Unique, Customized Shoes
The best part of this process? I didn’t just create something beautiful—I made a one-of-a-kind version of a designer shoe without spending a fortune. Now I have a pair that looks straight off the runway but crafted with my own hands.
