Este blog no es precisamente acerca de viajes pero a mi me encanta compartirles la emoción que siento al conocer un nuevo lugar y todo lo bello que descubro, les comparto mis viajes porque tal vez puedan inspirarse y arriesgarse a conocer algún lugar que no que no se atrevían o conocían y también que les sirva de guía para saber que no te puedes perder cuando vayas.
Mi familia suele viajar junta y a Graham y a mi nos encanta viajar también, mi hermana Francina es “la real” organizadora de viajes y de ella aprendí los truquitos que les voy a comentar hoy.

Ahora vamos a entrar en materia, nadie nace sabiendo como dicen así que los consejos que les voy a dar son basados en nuestra experiencia. Planear un viaje, aunque sea al patio, puede ser un poco estresante si no tienes claro que pasos seguir y sobretodo por donde empezar.
Planear tu propio viaje a la medida es posible y puede resultar hasta más económico, y a los que nos gusta viajar y preferimos gastar bien nuestro dinero y en actividades que disfrutamos diseñar nuestro propio viaje es la mejor opción.
Aquí vamos:
· Elegir dónde y cuándo quieres viajar.
Nosotros hacemos una lista de los países y ciudades que queremos visitar, siempre tratamos de conocer más de un lugar ya que los boletos aéreos desde Rep. Dominicana no son muy económicos así que pues vale la pena aprovechar y ver lo más que se pueda.El siguiente paso es buscar un mapa y conectamos las ciudades y países por su cercanía y luego el medio de transporte. Cuando lo hacemos en auto marcamos bien las rutas con anticipación.
Una vez definido el destino y la fecha lo primero que hacemos es leer, compramos guías y leemos blogs de viajes y hacemos una lista de las cosas que nos gustaría hacer, de los lugares histórico o de interés que no nos queremos perder, gastronomía, museos, vida nocturna y demás. Debes tomar en cuenta las fechas y los requisitos de entrada a los diferentes países que quieras visitar, investigar el clima, etc.Para elegir el lugar siempre es bueno tener claro los pro y los contra del sitio y la mejor época para visitar. Elegir la época del año para viajar, si tienes libertad para manejar tus tiempos es importante averiguar cual es la mejor temporada para visitar el destino elegido, pero en caso contrario si tienes una fecha exacta para poder viajar entonces averigua el clima en ésa época del año y si es temporada alta o baja.
· Documentación y situación política
Dependiendo de tu nacionalidad y del país o países que deseas visitar puedes requerir diferente documentación y siempre es bueno saber cuales son los necesarios.
-pasaporte o si basta con tu documento de identidad.
-visados y permisos.
-Otros documentos cómo tarjeta de vacunas, pasaje de regreso, seguro médico, etc.
Otro punto importante a tratar es la conversión de moneda y activar las tarjetas de crédito internacionales para evitar inconvenientes.
· Define tu viaje
Me refiero a ¿cómo quieres viajar? Lujo, de mediano costo o estilo mochilero, es bueno definir en qué cosas estás dispuest@ a ahorros y cuáles son más importantes.
· Prepara un presupuesto
Seamos realistas: del dinero que tengamos dispuesto dependerá todo, si tenemos claro con cuanto dinero contamos será más fácil tomar decisiones.
Es importante hacer un estimado del valor a gastar por acápite por ejemplo: hoteles, vuelos, comidas, traslados, imprevistos, etc. Una vez tengamos esto definido podemos pasar al siguiente paso.
· Medio de transporte y comunicación
Es bueno comprar vuelos con anticipación, para viajes internacionales se aconseja 4 a 6 meses antes de la fecha dispuesta para viajar.
Existe varios buscadores que te ayudan a encontrar las mejores ofertas como por ejemplo Skyscanner y Kayak. Si vas a visitar otros países o ciudades entonces también busca el medio de transporte más económico y cómodo, anteriormente nos poníamos a leer recomendaciones de otros viajeros, que igual siempre es bueno conocer de la experiencia de otros, pero descubrí una aplicación llamada Rome2Rio que te da opciones para llegar de un destino a otro y te ayuda a planificar tus rutas y medio de transporte, ya que te dice todos los medio posibles, carro, tren, ferry, avión, etc., al igual que los precios y el tiempo de viaje en cada uno y cuenta con un mapa para visualizar las distancias y rutas.
En cuanto a la comunicación ya hay varios servicios con los que puedes comprar un sim card en tu propio país para utilizar dependiendo del país al que viajes, yo lo he utilizado y ha sido un éxito internet y llamadas cubiertas para todo el viaje.
· Escoger alojamiento
Ya tenemos destinos, boletos aéreos, trenes y demás ahora a buscar donde hospedarnos para lo cual es importante la relación ubicación-costo, esto para evitar una mala elección y luego perder tiempo y dinero en transporte. Recomiendo leer mucho y preguntar, cuando entro a páginas como Booking siempre dedico tiempo a leer los comentarios de los usuarios, así puedes saber bien si la ubicación es buena, si es limpio, etc.
A mi familia nos gusta usar Booking para los hoteles y a mi en lo personal sobretodo cuando Graham yo viajamos nos encanta Airbnb.
· Preparar itinerario
Para esto es necesario haber leído e investigado cada ciudad, país y sus atracciones y medios de transporte que conectan, muchas de las ciudades Europeas por ejemplo ya cuentan con una City Card de turismo que hace más económico el transportarse. Francina, mi hermana, siempre hace un itinerario detallado e incluye actividades que cada uno quiera hacer. Es muy importante verificar horarios, días laborables y permisos de visitas de museos y centros históricos que quieras conocer.En muchos casos no solo vale la pena sino que es necesario comprar las entradas con anticipación. Es bueno también revisar si vale la pena comprar pases que incluya la visita a varios lugares.Mi hermana siempre diseña una plantilla en Excel en la cual se detalla el itinerario para cada día con información de cómo llegar y que transporte tomar, incluye los horarios de check in y check out, los números de reserva, etc.
Aquí somos amantes de la papelería así que preparo unas carpetas para cada uno de los viajeros con su itinerario dentro y rodo lo que necesitamos porque además luego nos sirve para guardar los recuerdos del viaje.
Y ahora la parte más importante prepárate a disfrutar TU VIAJE el que has diseñado para ti, puedes hacer todas las modificaciones que desees pues se trata hacer lo que les guste a todos los que viajen o lo que te guste si viajas sol@, planificar el viaje sirve para visualizarlo y para que tenga los menores imprevistos posibles.

Now we are going to the real thing, nobody was born knowing how they say, so the advice that I am going to give you is based on our experience. Planning a trip, even a small one, can be a bit stressful if you don’t know where to start and what steps to follow.
Planning your own trip is possible and can be even cheaper, for those of us who like to travel and prefer to invest our money in activities that we enjoy designing our own trip is the best option.

· Choose where and when you want to travel.

· What kind of trip you want to do

If you are going to visit other countries or cities then also look for the most economical and comfortable transportation, we always read recommendations from other travelers, I think it’s a good idea to know about the experience of others, recently I discovered an app called Rome2Rio, I don’t know if you Heard about it, this app gives you different options on how to get from one destination to another and helps you plan your routes and what transportation, it shows you any kind: car, train, ferry, plane, etc, as well as the prices and time of Travel, it has a map so you can visualize distances and routes.
For communication there are already several services, you can buy a sim card in your own country to use depending on the country of destination, I have used it and it has been a success for the whole trip.
· Choose accommodation
We already have our destinations, airline tickets, trains, and other services now we have to book where to stay. I recommend reading a lot and asking, when I go to pages like booking I always spend time reading the comments of users, so I can know if the location is good, if it’s clean, etc. My family likes to use Booking for hotels but I love Airbnb.
· Itinerary
It is very important to check schedules, working days an hour, and visiting permits of museums and historical centers that you want to go. In many cases, it is not only worthwhile but it is necessary to buy the tickets in advance. It is also good to check if it is worth buying passes that include visiting several places.
My sister always designs an Excel template with all the itinerary details for each day with information on how to get there and what transportation to use, including check-in and check-out hours, reservation numbers, etc. We are stationery lovers so I prepare folders for each one with their itinerary inside and everything we need because later it serves us to keep all trips memories.
